Oral sedation.

Tell us if dental anxiety makes visits difficult. A consultation can help clarify which comfort options are suitable and currently available.

What oral sedation means

Oral sedation uses prescribed medicine to reduce anxiety during dental care. It is different from nitrous oxide and does not automatically mean you will be unconscious.

Assessment comes first

Your clinician reviews medical conditions, pregnancy, allergies, medicines, alcohol use, and previous sedation experiences. Sedation carries risks, including effects on breathing, and is not suitable for everyone. Ask who would provide and monitor your care.

Follow personal instructions

Do not take sedating medicine unless prescribed for your visit. Follow the exact instructions about food, drink, medicines, escort arrangements, driving, work, and supervision afterward. Never drive after taking a sedative or mix it with alcohol.

We have not repeated the old site’s unverified certification wording or drug list. Confirm current availability and the proposed method directly with the office.
