Denture rebase and repairs.
A broken denture needs an assessment—not a home repair. We can examine the damage and discuss whether repair, rebasing, or replacement is appropriate.
What is a rebase?
A rebase replaces the denture’s acrylic base while retaining teeth that are still suitable for use. It differs from a reline, which changes the surface touching your gums rather than replacing the entire base.
Repairing a damaged denture
Cracks, broken teeth, or a fractured base can affect fit and comfort. Bring the denture and any pieces to your appointment. Your dentist will look at both the damage and its possible cause, including fit and bite problems.
The repair schedule depends on the damage and laboratory work needed. Call to ask about availability; a same-day repair is not guaranteed.
What to do now
Do not use household glue or try to reshape the denture. Tell the team about sharp edges, soreness, swelling, or difficulty eating. The office can advise you while arranging an assessment.
